THE BEACON & BLADE STORY

Every great team has an interesting origin story to tell. This is ours.

THE BEACON & BLADE STORY

Welcome!

This is the story about a dynamic team of seasoned business leaders on a mission to empower teams running on EOS®, working hand-in-hand with them to build powerhouse Visionary/Integrator duos and foster world-class leadership teams.

But every great team has an origin story. So let me start there:

Allow me to introduce myself
(the author of this terrific tale)…

Nogler Family

I'm Hailey Nogler, Integrator, entrepreneur, wife to Seth, and proud mom of four amazing kids. When I'm not "boots on the ground" helping businesses thrive, you'll find me spending time with my family, on the farm chasing a chicken, sheering a sheep, or lost in a good book, whether it's a fantasy novel, a business book, or simply revisiting Middle-earth for the thousandth time.

The uncovering of a superpower…

Every origin story has a moment where a fork in the road presents itself and a new
tale unfolds. Mine happened on an ordinary day, with an ordinary book, that turned
out to be anything but ordinary.

Ever the nerd (note: the hobbies listed above), I cracked open Gino
Wickman's Traction the way I do with everything I get curious about: headfirst, all in,
no half measures. Somewhere in those pages, once I started rolling out the EOS tools
with my own team, I found something I didn't know I was looking for. A better
understanding of my very own God-given superpowers. I discovered that I was an
Integrator.

Equipped with this newfound knowledge, I leaned hard into my Integrator DNA,
helping my own team get unstuck on issues we'd been lingering on too long, creating
order in conversations that had been overly chaotic, and gaining traction toward our
vision in ways I didn’t think was possible. And somewhere in the middle of
witnessing the power of EOS, a deep passion was ignited. The more time I spent in
the seat, running on the system, working with the tools, and meeting other
Integrators running on EOS, the more that passion grew into a deep desire to do
something bigger in this space – to help others experience this incredible feeling of
actually getting where you set out to go, in a way that didn't feel frustrating,
imbalanced, and unhealthy.

Now it's time to introduce another (very important) character…

Every Robin needs a Batman. Kirsten is mine.
She's a Visionary, Certified EOS Implementer, wife, mother, grandmother (lovingly
know as Lolli to her grandchildren), and a bold woman of faith. When she's not
helping teams (including her own) truly thrive, you can find her making sourdough,
hiking or walking somewhere, traveling with her best friend and husband, Tim, or
sitting knee to knee with someone that needs a bit of her beautiful, rare ability to
speak truth, wisdom and encouragement into any challenge you're facing. Always
your biggest cheerleader, but never the kind who just tells you what you want to
hear: She'll be honest. She'll be direct. That's Kirsten Smith: a punch in the face,
wrapped in a hug!

Kirsten's personal origin story is filled with hard fought battles and well-earned
triumphs that make her the perfect Batman for this great tale I'm telling, and the
many more ahead.

When the Beacon & Blade story began, she'd already spent decades in the trenches
of business, leading, training, consulting, and sitting in nearly every seat there is:
Sales & Marketing, Operations, Integrator, Business Owner. She'd led a multimillion-
dollar international business, built her own company from the ground up, and had
settled into the role of guide, facilitator, and coach, empowering teams to embrace a
system built on clarity, and alignment - not just big dreams, unhealthy work-life
boundaries, and a whole lot of chaos.

The pattern she couldn't unsee..

In that work, session after session, team after team, Kirsten started noticing
something impossible to ignore: The teams running on EOS with a real
Visionary/Integrator partnership - the kind built on clarity, trust, and alignment -
moved forward faster. Much faster! They got unstuck, built momentum, and did it
without sacrificing the people in the room to get there.

The teams without a rockstar Integrator were noticeably slower. Much slower! They
stayed tangled in the same conversations, the same misalignment, the same slow-
burning chaos and frustration that came with it, no matter how hard everyone
worked or how good the vision was. She watched it happen again and again, room
after room, until it stopped feeling like a coincidence and started feeling like a
pattern. And once Kirsten saw that pattern, she couldn't unsee it. She knew she
needed to find her own Integrator partner to get started on to face the quest ahead.

The birth of a business

It all came together with a single conversation, one of those talks between friends
that starts normal and ends with both of you staring at each other going, “Wait... are
we actually about to do this?”

As we explored ideas, excitement grew around the possibility of creating something
different: a real solution based on being EOS pure with team members that were as
passionate as we were, and a process built to empower Visionaries, Integrators, and
the teams caught in between. We envisioned an approach that was fresh, practical,
and truly effective, and after testing it with real teams and watching it work, we
realized we'd stumbled onto something truly special.

Beacon & Blade was officially born!

And somewhere along the way of doing this work together, we found the real
mission underneath it all: helping others experience what we uncovered in this origin
story - the power of a truly great Visionary/Integrator duo (Aligned. Locked in.
Healthy. Deeply trusting) - and the incredible results that come from that power!

And don't worry, we will try to keep the cheesy storytelling to a minimum. Maybe....

About The Author

Hailey Nogler

While serving full time as a COO and working to bring EOS® into her own company, Hailey realized she was a natural-born Integrator, with the rare ability to harmonize the people, operations, and priorities of an organization into something that actually moved forward with health and excellence. So she leaned fully into the system, running EOS as a full-time Integrator. Eventually, she realized her real calling was to lean even more into the space: partnering with Kirsten to create something that would help Visionaries truly experience the power of a great right-hand partner, while empowering Integrators like herself to confidently and skillfully be that partner.
